James Reid has personally experienced as a solo artist the love and care of Bicolanos when he appeared there last time in Albay province for the grand opening day of the Daragang Magayon Festival.
The Magayon Festival started last April 4 and will last until May 5. The month-long festivities will feature several events and activities that aim to promote Bicolano culture and traditions. Different events will also have various artists and guests invited as either delegates, entertainers, judges, or performers.
For the said opening, James joined the fun and enjoyed every minute of it. Said he, “Although summer is already here, I am feeling cool because everybody smiles and wears a warm heart.”
Although the young actor has visited the place on many occasions, he admitted to have sincerely felt the so-called “gayong-Bicol” (gandang Bicol) as he tasted various Bicol delicacies, seen the best places of the province, and brought back to Manila products like abaca and pili, that he had heard of for so long.
“That’s so cool. Ang sarap-sarap. Sana ma-invite ako uli,” added the hot young actor.
