Minsang tinawag na The World’s Worst Airport, ginawan recently ng rehabilitation ang Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 (NAIA 1).
Pinangunahan ng Department of Transportation and Communications, nagsimula ang rehabilitation and renovation project last January 2014. Nagkaroon muna ng comprehensive inspection by DOTC Secretary Jun Abaya.
The result is a new look, with new toilets, facilities, and better airconditiong para sa terminal.
According to NAIA Terminal 1 manager Dante Basanta, nasa 80% na ng rehabilitation work sa NAIA 1 ang natapos na. Ang mga repairs sa passaenger movement areas such as the departure and arrival areas are expected to be finished end of March 2015.

Repairs are ongoing. Completion of NAIA T1’s rehabilitation is expected by May this year.
This is the first time in 30 years na nagkaroon ng considerable renovation and rehabilitation ang NAIA Terminal 1. May mga selected facilities na ni-renovate while new facilities have also been added.
“Ang laki na ng pinagbago kumpara sa dating airport, excited na akong umuwi this Christmas.” according to Ody, who goes home to see family and friends at least once a year.
Ang P1.3 billion rehabilitation project is expected to be completed by May of this year.
