Over the years, the term “Public Service” has taken on many meanings, depending on how government institutions and non-government organizations have used them. Sadly, because of this seeming overuse of the phrase, its true meaning has been diluted, to the point of being reduced to the term “dole out.”
Here, however, we will strive to bring back “Public Service” to its true form, by giving out useful information that can help Filipino families make informed decisions and direct them to available resources — both from the private and public sector — that can help improve their quality of life. But we will not stop there. To be sure, instilling mere awareness is not enough. What is needed is to change behaviors that impede personal or social development. We will strive to guide Filipinos toward improving attitudes and behaviors that will build the foundation for a healthier, more equitable, and more productive society.
