When we had the chance to interview our dear friend Tsong Joey Marquez at the set of Forevermore in La Presa, Tubud, Benguet, he related to us that he got so nervous when he learned that his daughetr Winwyn Marquez had finally made it to the cut for this year’s edition of Binibining Pilipinas hopefuls.

“Hindi ko kayang maisip na rarampa siya sa stage at makikita ng maraming tao, pero desisyon niya ‘yun at nakasuporta lang ako as a father,” enthused Joey, who also related that he truly enjoys playing father roles in TV, movies, and in real-life.

Totoo pala yung kasabihan na kahit buhay mo ay kaya mong ibigay para sa kanila,” added the comedian-actor who recently won best Supporting Actor in the 2014 MMFF.

And now that he has a daughter who wishes to establish herself as an achiever, “Siyempre wala akong magagawa kundi suportahan siya.

Well, Winwyn indeed is among the most favored candidates to take home an international crown. Even her Auntie Melanie has high hopes for her niece as she claimed, “she has everything that a beauty queen must have.

When she was asked what beauty title she thinks Winwyn might get, she blurted out, “Miss Philippines-Universe.”

Well, isn’t it a good thing to see family members truly supporting each other at times like this? Here’s wishing then Winwyn the best of luck. As her name says it all… go for the win, iha!
