Isa ang Kalibo Airport sa gateway points papunta sa Boracay Island.

Masaya si Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) Secretary Jun Abaya sa improvements na isinagawa sa Kalibo International Airport (KIA).

“We’re happy to open Kalibo International Airport’s (KIA) new wing right as we enter the summer season. As always, we expect a high volume of visitors to Boracay in the next couple of months, so the new section will help meet this peak period demand,” he explains.

Nadagdagan ng sampung bagong check-in counters ang departure section ng Kalibo Airport, giving the airport the capacity to accommodate an additional of 800 passengers anumang oras.

Nagkakahalaga ng P44.3 million ang 4,000-square meter na expansion ng paliparan.
